Team Gharelu Ladies Secures Victory at People’s Campus Hult Prize

The People’s Campus Hall recently served as a vibrant stage for the Hult Prize On-Campus Round, where dozens of young innovators gathered to pitch sustainable business solutions for global challenges. The event began with a warm welcome from Yashaswi Shrestha and a unique ceremonial inauguration. In a departure from traditional ceremonies, Campus Chief Manoj Bahadur Kunwar, Assistant Campus Chief Rojesh Pandit, and BBM Coordinator Rajan Bilas Bajracharya watered plants to symbolize the institution’s commitment to environmental stewardship and the cultivation of impactful ideas.

Following the National Anthem, Campus Chief Kunwar delivered an inspiring keynote address that challenged students to bridge the gap between innovative thought and social action. The heart of the program featured several dynamic teams presenting their research-backed business models to an esteemed panel of judges. Experts Kishor Gartaula, Santosh Tulachan, and Anup Uprety provided professional mentorship throughout the session and were later recognized with Khada and tokens of appreciation for their contribution to the burgeoning entrepreneurial ecosystem at the campus.

As the judging panel evaluated the presentations, participants engaged in networking sessions and interactive dialogues, maintaining a high level of energy throughout the afternoon. The competition showcased a diverse range of concepts, from sustainable construction materials to eco-friendly stationery alternatives. While every team demonstrated remarkable creativity and dedication, the final results highlighted the most scalable and impact-driven ventures of the day.

The ceremony reached its peak with the announcement of the top performers. Team Gharelu Ladies claimed the championship title, earning the prestigious opportunity to represent People’s Campus in the upcoming stages of the international Hult Prize competition. They were followed by Team Rebricks Nepal and Team Botanic Paper, who secured the runner-up positions for their respective innovations. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Campus Director Rozim Maharjan and a celebratory group photo, marking another successful chapter in the campus’s mission to empower the next generation of social changemakers.
