Commencement of Hult Prize at NEC with successful conduction of series of events

The Hult Prize, also known as the Nobel Prize for Students, is an annual international competition that encourages young people to develop creative and social enterprises that address some of the world’s most pressing problems. The Hult Prize OnCampus event, held annually at Nepal Engineering College, has started to conduct high caliber activities and mentorship sessions for all its participants. Such programs offer guidance and mentoring in a variety of ways to help participants reach their goal of winning the Hult Prize.

Hult Prize at nec organized a “Grooming and Introductory Session with Committee Members” on October 12 where Organizing Committee members were given a short introduction about Hult and details about their roles as a Committee Member by Ms. Sami Subedi, Campus Director of Hult at nec 2022/23.

A motivational session, “Inspiring and Empowering the Hult Prize Community” was organized on 9th November. The speaker for the session was Assoc. Prof Sachin Shrestha, Chief of Student Welfare Division at nec. He shared about the journey of Hult Prize at nec and impact of Hult at nec. At the session, participants also got a chance to witness the journey of Mr. Sanyog Upadhya, Regional Finalist of Hult Prize 2018/019.

The “Introductory Session” was held on 29th November where participants were given orientation about Hult Prize and were explained about the theme of Hult Prize 2023/02 from the guest speaker Ms. Tania Lamichhane, who was Campus Director of Hult Prize at nec 2021/023. These workshops were very beneficial as they provided advice and guidance to the participants in preparing for the Hult Award. The session was very engaging as participants could express their ideas, engage in discussions, and overall enjoy their way towards the Hult Prize.

After that, on 6th December, a session, “The Art was Pitching” was held and the guest speaker for the session was Mr. Amresh Shah. The session discussed persuasive communication techniques that can be used to present an idea, product or project in a compelling manner whereas various fun activities were performed to engage the participants and boost up their ideas. The session provided a huge advantage to those planning to come out on top this year.

An “Entrepreneurship Workshop” was held on 15th of December in collaboration with Edu Eyrie India. The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Akshayakeerti Vijay, a renowned serial entrepreneur who has over 17 years of extensive experience in Training, Coaching, Sales and BPO operations.

Not only the above-mentioned session but Hult Prize at nec is ready to conduct various sessions like “Talk with Entrepreneurs”, “Business Proposal Writing” and many more sessions that will help make the contestants more polished and better candidates to win the Hult Prize. Since all the sessions are free, there is no reason to pass up the opportunity.

Our Campus Director Mr. Subash Khanal has been leading all the events and the Hult Prize team at nec smoothly. They have no plans to stop anytime soon. Things are going smoothly and the entire chain of events is expected to proceed in the same fashion.
