National College of Engineering Partners with Terra Sol Energy for Industry-Academia Growth

In a significant move to bridge the gap between classroom theory and industry practice, the National College of Engineering (NCE) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Terra Sol Energy Company Ltd. today.

The signing ceremony, held at the NCE Meeting Room, marks the beginning of a robust collaboration aimed at empowering the next generation of engineers through immersive, real-world application.

The MoU was officially signed by Prof. Dr. Arbind Kumar Mishra, Principal of NCE, and Mr. Dhiraj Bohara, Chief Engineer at Terra Sol Energy. This collaboration, initiated by the Internship and Job Placement Division of NCE, aims to facilitate internship opportunities for students in alignment with the revised Institute of Engineering (IOE) curriculum, which now mandates undergraduate internships. This agreement ensures students gain high-caliber experience rather than simply fulfilling a requirement.

The primary focus of this alliance is to provide students with practical exposure in renewable energy and complex engineering projects. By integrating industry needs with academic rigor, the partnership facilitates a seamless transition from the lecture hall to the field. This initiative strengthens industry-academia synergy, offering a platform where Civil and Electrical Engineering students can apply technical skills to sustainable energy solutions.

The importance of the agreement was underscored by the presence of the Assoc. Prof. Dhan Prasad Paudyal, CEO, Prof. Sangit Lal Nakarmi, Academic Director, and Assoc. Prof. Pradip Adhikaree, Vice Principal of NCE, alongside department heads and senior representatives from Terra Sol Energy.

As the global energy sector shifts toward greener solutions, this partnership places NCE students at the forefront of innovation, ensuring they are industry-ready and equipped with the technical proficiency required to thrive in a modern workforce.
